One of the easiest ways to add a pop of colour & breathe some life into a room is with the addition of a plant or two .
Many houseplants also have air-purifying properties. The drawback, though, is that some of the most popular houseplants are also toxic to pets and children.
Here are some plants we have found that are both safe for you babe & are on trend!
Originally from the tropics, this plant thrives in a room with lots of moisture.
We love it styled into a macrame hanging pot in the bathroom. FYI we will be selling super cute macrame hanging pot plants very soon so stay tuned to our insta feed for updates ;)
Arrrrrrrrgh the most epic decoration for your babes bedroom! We have had these babies as part of our market stall merchandising for a while now & always get a bunch of people asking where they can buy them from... so we are currently working on a limited edition collection right now that will be available from the Hide & Seek & Village Markets this Easter! YAY!
This terrifyingly cool T-rex has been styled with an air plant! To care for this bad boy soak your air plant in room temperature tap water for 5-10 minutes every week or two. After soaking gently shake excess water from your plant. Turn it upside down and place it on a towel in a bright space.
Personally i never have much success with air plants so i opt for hardy succulents in my babes room. They love neglect so i give them a splash of water every other months are kept in a well lit area of the room.
How epic does the spikey one look on trex's back! This one is called a Haworthia.
Not into dinosaurs? Ahhhhhh how adorbs is this little whale?!! Come to think of it this looks like an egg cup! Im sure there are loads of cool trinkets around the house that could double as an adorable pot plant.
New Mamas this plant could be your new best friend! It has been said that this plant encourages a restful night sleep... whatever works! I'll take 5!
Grown best in full sunlight. A fun option for a hanging plant.
This Guatemalan beauty not only looks costal cool but is super low matienence. Simply place in a space with indirect light and water once a week.
Have fun brightening up your home with an injection of colour from Mother nature.
